Wordful Wednesday hosted by Angie

Some of you know my on-line book order fiasco.

Well, the company has refunded my money for this book and has told me just to keep it because of the major screw ups. So, my question to you is:

Is it dishonest or somehow hypocritical of me to keep the book??? Or do I accept it as a gesture of apology and just enjoy it?

After you comment, I hope you'll head back over to Angie at 7 Clown Circus to be re-routed to more Wordful Wednesday participants!!

And if you have time, you may want to read my spider story. It's good for a cringe and a chuckle!

I say if the company told you to keep it, you should keep it....but then again I don't really know your whole fiasco. :-)

I think you should keep it!
Thanks for my book! :)

companies know there will be mix ups. they plan for them. it is much cheaper and much less work for them to just count it as a loss and let you keep the book.

enjoy it or pass it on to someone else who will...it is not the slightest bit dishonest!

Since it's just a book keep it. It would cost more in shipping and re-stocking and the time spent on it, that you're doing them a favor. Came over from Angie's WW.

Of course you should keep it. To not accept it graciously would be the travesty. (j/k). Seriously, I would keep the book. You deserve it after all the hassle.

Dotter, dotter, dotter. Have I taught you nothing? Free is good. Good is free. Keep the damned book and pass it along to momma when you're done with it.

They told you to keep it, so keep it and enjoy it!

I might keep it. You let them know how you felt about the problems you had with their service and they are compensating you for your troubles. It really cost them next to nothing to try to save a customer. That is enough to make me want to keep it. Now, would you change your mind and make another purchase with them seeing thta they cared enough to try to right the wrong or will you still never patronize them again? If you are willing to give them another shot then I would keep it for sure.

Hmmm. I guess that is the real question, isn't it?

Definitely a keep situation.

Totally enjoy it! When we owned our own business, we inadvertently caused a customer some trauma. We replaced a piece of furniture, but we also wanted to show her how much we cared, so we sent her a gift card. We knew we were going the extra mile, but we were pleased she accepted it. She was a very loyal customer and sent us the sweetest thank-you card. It made us feel good that she accepted our apology :).
