I swore today.

And I flipped some poor, undeserving person the bird.

I think that those construction companies that close a road should be required to give us an alternate route. I have to go through horrendous road construction to get to the LRT station where I jump on the train to go to work. The entire length of this road you cannot turn left. In either direction!! So I couldn't go before it and turn left, now could I pass it and turn and come back. So I have found another way to go so that I can go straight through another road and that intersection takes me straight to my parking lot.

They closed that road this morning. And they didn't tell me where to go. So I quite loudly told them where to go!!

There was absolutely NO WAY I could get to my parking lot without breaking a few rules.

I turned left where there was no turning left.

I did, however make sure that there was another lane on my right so that I wouldn't hold up traffic. I was very considerate in the fact that I only cut off two cars and came 89% of the way to killing myself to get out of the way of the truck honking incessantly behind me.

So I flipped the guy the bird.

Three times.

Then cut off some vehicles, but not TECHNICALLY.

And I found my way, albeit cursing loudly, to my parking lot.

Tomorrow, I'm going to the other LRT station. It is really six of one, a half dozen of the other for me, so I'll go the other way.

Oi! Was that frustrating!! Thankfully I am the first one here for half an hour before anyone else shows up, so I don't have to worry if I'm a couple minutes late.

I certainly hope that tomorrow goes better!!

Oh God. I feel your pain. I really do. And truly, to be allowed to drive in big-city rush-hour traffic, you should have to pass an aggressive driving course. It's the timid ones, afraid of their own gas pedal, who drive me to the brink of madness. Argh.

Hoping tomorrow is better. They closed the road I live on about a year ago out of the blue. It took an extra hour and a half to get home that night. I guess lots of people complained, because now when they have to close it they put up big lighted signs for weeks beforehand warning us to find another way home!

I love you Rhonda that is all I am saying. I wish you lived closer as I know we would ahve a laugh. I am sure I have lived this story - more times than I care to imagine. And you make me laugh.

Hope your days got better!
