Wordful Wednesday - I'm Paying It Forward!

In the mail last week, I got an awesome "Pay It Forward" gift from Ronda over at Ronda's Rants! It was such a nice surprise, and it helped me find some of that Christmas spirit I've been lacking. I find Christmas gets to be all about obligation and it takes a lot of the fun out of it. It's amazing how freeing "choice" is. I'd probably do all the same things I do now, but it would be different. I know, I'm not making any sense, am I?

So a big thank you to Ronda! She's one of my all time favorites and one of the first blogs I started following. I'd send you over there, but she's got a huge fan base, so chances are you came from there anyway! :-) But, just on the off chance that you DON'T know THAT Ronda, head over there and say hello and tell her THIS Rhonda sent you.

Now for today, the picture of my gift, the new Faith Hill Christmas CD, is my posted picture for the day, along with my own Pay It Forward contest.

You should get familiar with the rules.

First off, if you choose to play along, you have to PROMISE to pay it forward if you win. It doesn't have to be expensive. Maybe you're crafty and you've made something you'd like to share. Do you have anything to re-gift? (I LOVE re-gifting!)

Second, when you post, you have to give a shout-out to the person who sent you the Pay It Forward. For example, I'm shouting out to Ronda. I'm also shouting out to Veggie Mom. I won on her blog a short time ago. I'm technically only running one contest, and, while I technically haven't received the Pay It Forward yet from Veggie Mom, she's getting her shout out, I'll post the gift when I receive it, and I'm choosing EXTRA winners with this one contest. I think that's fair.

Third, I'm making up my own rules about HOW I want to choose my winners. The fun part is that so can you if you win! You are guaranteed a win two ways:

  1. You have to follow me and be the FIRST commenter.
  2. You have to follow me and be the LAST commenter. (You have until wednesday at midnight, so keep checking back!)
The final two winners will be chosen by their comedy factor in their comment. You can tell a joke, tell me something funny you did, an embarrassing moment, etc. You can keep coming back if you think of a new one. The two funniest, wittiest, most imaginative (whatever you like, just make me giggle) bloggers will win! Oh, and did I mention, you have to 'follow me'?? Stroke my ego a bit, would ya'?

Four amazing chances to win!

Ready ....
Set ....
Comment!

Once you're finished, go check out our fabulous, fine-lookin' Wordful Wednesday host, Angie, for more!

Last year, I did a Pay it Forward and it's just too much fun! I loved it...the gifts I sent were minimal, but it's the thought and the action of doing a kindness.

Come see my Wordful Wednesday if you can find time!! It's a catghan!

Ok, I am already a follower, and I want to play.
For my witty comment I will tell a joke.
It´s about us....the Mennonites. Mennonites can be pretty cheap. One day, a Mennonite goes to the dentist. He wants to have a tooth pulled. He asks how much that will cost. 100$, says the dentist. The Mennonite: Ok, I´ll pay you 50$, you loosen the tooth for me and I´ll pull it myself at home....
hahaha

Okay, where I work, you can't win if you're family. So that likely applies here too. Thass okay. I just went to click on that thingee that makes me a "follower" and it told me that I already follow you. Huh. Who knew? I love your blog and it kickstarts my day every day. Thanks.

How fun! I saw that Veggie mom was playing this and considered joining in.

Of course family and friends can play! In fact I encourage it! Do you know how cool it would be to not have to worry about postage for a change? lol

BOYFRIEND 5.0 to HUSBAND 1.0

Dear Tech Support:

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a slowdown in the performance of the flower and jewelry application that had operated flawlessly under the Boyfriend 5.0 system.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.9, and installed undesirable programs such as NFL 7.4, NBA 3.2 and NHL 4.1.

Conversation 8.0 also no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.

I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Signed,

Desperate

OKay, I'm a little confused. I don't know if that is someone wanting to play along and left a joke, or if it is spam of some sort? lol!!!

Who's our anonymous joker???

Isn't your anonymous follower actually George? And it is a very funny little story.

funny lady you are! Clever with the last comment give away. I am not entrering anything but promise to pay kindness forward anyway. You are a great blogger and always a pleasure to read.

If I ever do win, maybe you would let me choose someone to re-gift to, since I have no address as it were.

Have a great day!

Hah! Am I last yesterday, or first today?

Hey. Why does that say 11:06 p.m. It was actually midnight and I'd just got home from seeing the movie "Milk" - disturbing. Very disturbing.
