Wordful Wednesday

Two Things that set my girl apart....

... from others her age...

First off, she is probably the only little person in kindergarten who doesn't know how to write her ABC's and 123's, but can sing every Hannah Montana song and knows all three of the Jonah's Brothers. And she thinks they're hot!

Second thing was reinforced on the way home from the gym today.

"Mom, what are we having for supper?" Liv asked.

"Chicken, and probably potatoes and maybe some creamed corn?" I responded.

"How about some of that green stuff?" she asked.

"What, peas?"

"No! That yummy green stuff!"

"Green beans?" I tried again.

"No Mommy!  That green stuff that we love!" She is getting frustrated at this point.

But now it all makes sense to me.

"You mean, spinach??"

"Yeah!!!!"

You betcha, folks.  My little one loves spinach. And I'm not talking about your average spinach salad with mandarin pieces and strawberries and sweet dressing. No sir'eee.

My little darling loves COOKED spinach! Like Popeye!

(Wow. Did I spell Popeye right? 'Cause spelled that way, it's more the thing that nightmares are made of... not childhood strong men!)

She loves spinach, he loves spinach...He sings Iron Man all the time and loves Family Guy!
Too sophisticated for their age! I think they both skipped part of their childhood!

She is just the cutest thing...love her attitude, she's not going to take anything from anyone!!

Rhonda - no you're not a bad person for pushing your kids out of the way to finish carving their pumpkins - *snort* *giggle*

And if your girl likes spinach, she would love my spinach balls... check them out - my daughter can eat an entire batch in one sitting!

Thanks for stopping by!

I can't believe that sweet little thing would eat that slimy, nasty cooked spinach. That stuff gags me!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. My kids love uncooked spinach, we use it more than lettuce for salads.

Hahaha. You lost me when she asked you "what's for supper?" She's only four, for goodness sake. "What's for supper?" On the way home? In the van? That's hilarious. She's a little book, waiting to be written...

She is too cute....and wow, are you lucky that she likes spinach....shove it down, it may not last for long!! :) (i'm just kidding--i guess that did sound bad, shoving it down)

I love spinach too and Greens! How are things in your household this part of the week. Have been thinking about your family!

that is awesome. My son does the same thing, he will come up to me and ask for vegetables for snack or he goes, "I think I would like to have some broccoli."

What a pill. All that spinach must be making her character strong like Popeye. But she needs it to fend off the boys at mommies door, huh?? Funny stuff. GB!

What a beautiful "different" girl!
Happy WW!

LOL! That is just so darn funny. My 13 year old has this freakish ability to remember lyrics in songs after only hearing them a few times. Too bad this couldn't be applied to Algebra skills. :)

My youngest is the same way! She would rather eat fruits and veggies than any sweet treat out there. We are truly blessed with that!
