Dear Stupid Self-Important Jerk Off

My post, it seems, was hijacked by drunken sailors! Seriously, I have never heard so much vulgar language before. You may want to reconsider coming over to play today...

Dear Stupid Self-Important Jerk Off:

Thank you for your letter in regard to the ambulance bill I never should have received for ambulance services I never wanted and refused four times.

I realize that the EMS has an obligation and a job to perform. I also know that I have a right to refuse medical care. Which I did. Four times. I repeat, again, four times.

Perhaps I haven't made that clear enough for you.

If someone comes to your door on the recommendation of a neighbour, Mr. Self-Important Jerk Off, to do your lawn care, but you refuse and say you don't have the money this year, your lawn is looking fine, and you aren't interested, yet they go ahead and perform the service anyway, would you expect to be harassed over paying this bill?

I think not, you stupid fuck.

This is a frigging joke and you know it!

Consider this your very own personal Fuck You, and I sincerely hope that every aspect of your life from here on is miserable and that in every situation you find yourself you never receive any help or support from anybody. Nothing would make me happier.

This asinine decision of yours leads me to wonder whose lips are snugly wrapped around your nether region? What other reason could there possibly be for such stupidity?

I'm very happy that you consider this matter closed, Mr. Self Important Jerk Off, because so do I.

As a side note for my fabulous readers who stuck around today, some of which, I think, are lawyers, take a look at the following picture.

This is how I fully intend on sending the cheque, IF I decide to pay it. Does anyone know if I could get into trouble (is hate mail illegal?) for sending it and / or the letter above? Because it would make me feel Oh. So. Good. to send it.

All I can say to you Rhonda is YOU ROCK...if it's not illegal (and I don't know) SEND IT!

I refused medical care at the ER...or better yet I walked out because they ignored me for two frigging hours and they treated me like a criminal! So, I say send it and smile!!

I wouldn't send it...but I am a coward!
I would keep sending them the same letter over and over...
I refused medical care as I didn't have the money to pay for it and my circumstances and yours have remained unchanged!
Sincerely,
Rhonda
PS. Maybe you would like to pursue the man who ran me over!
Love you, Ronda

Can you write a Letter to the Editor? There may be more people that are in your shoes and together you can steamroll the system. I think the check is hilarious. But they would laugh and and enjoy it and go on. Hit them where it hurts. Get the word out that services CAN be refused. We have a local TV station that has a person you can voice your complaints to and they do a whole piece on it. This is very eye-opening and wrong.

Go get 'em, Rhonda! I don't blame you one bit.

Legally? I don't know. Morally? Who taught you that language? Me? Oh damn! I love the comment above that suggests you write that courteous letter, copy it 20 times, and mail one every weekday for a month. To the same person. Over and over and over. So he/she/they see that this battle WILL go to court. You WILL have your say. I would certainly NOT send them a cheque, this one or any other. If you pay, they win, and that's just wrong.

Oh, and the letter to the editor is also excellent. Only I don't think they'll print that language in a family newspaper. :-)

As soon as I stop laughing at your letter and check I will try to think! I know that you are allowed to refuse services here, but I think once you get into the ambulance they own you. Here we have a right to refusal a patient has to sign before the emt's will leave them on the side of the road. I don't know how it works up there though?? I'm with jjbb, take it public. Can you talk to the EMT that forced you to go with him/her?
OK I have to go read the letter again...they say laughing will make you live longer! If I keep hanging out on your blog I will live to be a hundred.

You tell 'em, Rhonda! But I think Hate Mail might be illegal...

I be you won't be the first one that wrote them hate mail. I totally understand why you would want to but will they really care. They have probably heard the same thing often expressed in many, many varied ways. Can you write to the local paper and get them some negative attention perhaps? This would hurt them worse. You made me laugh and girl its good to let off steam and it is your blog after all!!!

I used to write "bitch tax" in the memo for my child support checks (sorry, just how I feel), so they started garnishing and wouldn't let me send checks because they couldn't stop me. No, I don't think you can get in trouble for that, and it is your way of conveying your feelings. Rock on sister!!

First, I love, love, love the pictures of the kids. How many people truly have a craddle to grave friend?

As for the bill, I would pay it just because I wouldn't want it to wreck my credit. However, I would look to recoop the money from the person who caused the accident. I think the way you addressed it is hilarious:-)

That is hilarious...and frustrating...I know! I would definitely write them a letter disputing it and wouldn't pay them in the meantime. If you pay them and then dispute, you will never get your money back. Copy any of your letters to the Better Business Bureau.....companies don't like black marks on them with the BBB.

Oh how frustrating. I'd think twice about sending it, as that's a bit harsh for a public office, and it would really be a bummer to have a larger fine and such for this.

But do you have tv news or newspaper that helps out with people's problems? I know around us there are "help people" columns and segments where they publicize it and go out and fight your battles for you....

Good luck!
